Imagine Rotary Hill with 2009 American flags on Veterans Day!

The Naperville Exchange Club, in collaboration with the Naperville Park District, the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873, the American Legion Post 43, Operation Support Our Troops Illinois and other community groups, families and individuals, will host the Naperville Healing Field of Honor from Nov. 8-14. A special observance of Veterans Day will be held at 11 a.m., Wed., Nov. 11.

Organizers welcome everyone to help fill Rotary Hill with 2009 American flags as a way to say thank you to everyone who has ever served our country while also raising money and awareness for a growing array of unmet needs for veterans and their families.
Patriotic carillon music, band concerts; views from the observation deck in the Moser Tower, a Tag a Flag ceremony on Sun., Nov. 8; evening illumination at Rotary Hill; and other activities are planned to unite the community during this all-American event.

Orders for individual three-foot by five-foot American flags with eight-foot poles are being taken at $30 each. Proceeds from flag sales will benefit unmet needs for veterans as well as a Fisher House, a new facility being built to provide lodging for family members of patients who are hospitalized at Hines VA Hospital in Hines, Ill. To purchase a flag, contact Anna Zimmerman at annaz@wowway.com or order online at www.healingfield.org/Naperville.
